1. Introduction
This document contains results of reliability tests for 1×8 PLC Splitter products conducted under environmental conditions that are defined in Telcordia GR-1209-CORE and GR-1221-CORE. These 1×8 PLC Splitters were incorporated with both 1 channel and 8 channel fiber arrays that were manufactured by Shanghai May Telecom Co., Ltd.; Therefore, this report can also be viewed as a reliability showcase for the internally fabricated 1 channel and 8 channel fiber arrays.
Specifically, the following tests were carried out on the 1×8 PLC Splitter products:
-Temperature –humidity Aging
-High Temperature Storage (Dry heat)
-Low Temperature Storage
-Temperature Cycling
-Water Immersion
-Thermal Shock
-Vibration
-Mechanical Shock
-Fiber & Cable Retention
-Fiber Side Pull

2. Test Conditions
The test conditions that the 1×8 PLC Splitter products were subject to are stipulated by the Telcordia reliability testing recommendations and are shown below.

5. Pass Criteria
Samples under test are required to meet all parametric limits specified in GR-1209-CORE and GR-1221-CORE.
All samples were inspected visually before and after tests to examine their physical conditions. Additionally, their insertion loss (IL) and polarization-dependent loss (PDL) of each output channel were measured to determine whether their changes before and after tests (△IL and △PDL) met the Telcordia requirements for PLC splitter products.

The pass criteria for PLC splitter products that were subject to Telcordia tests were:
No physical damages were found, such as detachment of silicone rubber boots and detachment of housing lid from the housing, due to sealing adhesive failure, fiber breakage, fiber pullout, loose tube crack, cable jacket damage or housing corrosion.
PDL≤0.3dB.
△IL ≤ ±0.5 dB and IL values within the product specifications
IL Uniformity ≤0.8dB
The number of allowed failures in passing the above criteria was zero.
