Fiber Types

There are many fiber types, but two main fiber types: single mode fibers (SM) and Multi-mode fibers (MM).

SM fibers:

For G.657 fibers, there are four sub-types: G.657A1, G.657A2, G.657B2 and G.657B3.
“1”, “2” and “3” mean the minimum bending radius.
The mininum bending radius of G.657 fibers as follows:
